ATMA or AIMS Test for Management Association is a management level examination conducted by AIMS or Association of Indian Management Studies. It is a national level exam that is conducted to check the candidate’s eligibility for admission to management courses and the participating MBA institutions.
ATMA is a single-window test that is conducted 5 times a year. The test score deems the eligibility of candidate in gaining admission to courses such as MBA/ PGDM/ MCA and other management courses. Based on the marks secured, various institutions and universities in India render admission to the aspirants.
As per reports, the official notification date for the release of ATMA 2019 is deemed to be December 2018. The examination is conducted multiple times a year (5 times) and for the year 2019, the supposed dates are January 2019, February 2019, May 2019, June 2019 and August 2019 respectively.
Candidates can take up the exam multiple times a year and each 5 ATMA exams will offer an opportunity for students to improve their exam score thereby enhancing their chances in securing admission in 200 selected MBA colleges across India.
Eligibility for the ATMA 2019 exam
The eligibility criterion for students taking up the examination is completing graduation in any relevant field from a recognized university or institution with a minimum aggregate of 50%. However, there is no minimum age limit set for students and must be an Indian citizen.
ATMA 2019 Registration
The ATMA 2019 registration dates for January 2019 is expected to be released in December 2019. Candidates can register for the examinations by visiting the official website of ATMA. Candidates are supposed to submit the form via online mode only.
ATMA 2019 Admit Card and Result
The ATMA 2019 Admit Card is likely to be expected from the 1st week of January 2019, whereas the ATMA 2019 results are expected to be announced in the 1st week of February 2019 which will be available on the official website of the entrance examination. However, an official notification is yet to be published.

- It’s a single day examination
The ATMA 2019 examination will be conducted in 5 sessions. However, each ATMA 2019 exam will be a single day exam conducted in only one session. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
- ATMA is similar to other entrance tests like MAT, CMAT, etc.
ATMA 2019 examination will be conducted on online mode. It is a computer-based test on the lines of other MBA entrance tests.
- ATMA 2019 scores are used for admission to PGDM courses
ATMA 2019 entrance test will render the candidates an opportunity to seek admission for MBA in top B-Schools from Government and Private Universities. Some of the colleges that accept ATMA scores for MBA courses are Prin L.N. Welingkar College of Management (We-School) Mumbai, N. L. Dalmia College, PUMBA Pune, Christ University, IFIM Bangalore, etc. to mention a few.
- The level of ATMA 2019 Exam
As per reports, the ATMA 2019 exams will have moderate difficulty level according to the past trends of levels. The test will comprise of 180 questions which will be divided into 6 sections that have to be solved within 3 hours.
- Marking of answers
Each question would carry 1 mark. Every incorrect answer will be deducted 0.25 marks. However, no marks will be deducted for unsolved or unanswered questions.
- The ATMA 2019 score card will be valid for the only year.
